Beginner Level
NEW Class starts on March 26th, 2026. This 1st class is FREE! If you like it, you can enroll for the month of April.

Learn the basics of this Middle Eastern dance form with some modern and upbeat twists.  Marjan’s integrative style of teaching will have you moving gracefully while you strengthen core muscles, develop poise, and have fun.  No dance experience is required, but be ready for a good workout as you shimmy, isolate, and undulate.

Please wear comfortable workout-type clothes. Form fitted is best. Exposing midriff is completely optional and not necessary. You can practice barefoot, with socks, or ballet or jazz slippers if you already have them.

Thursdays

Intermediate Level
Now that you have the basics, it’s time to spice things up and expand your horizons! At this level you will begin to add layers to the basics, exercise memory with extended and mixed combo drills, learn how to dance with a veil, play finger cymbals (zills), and learn your first bellydance choreography.

You wil need to bring a veil and a pair of zills to every class.

Students at this level are evaluated on an individual basis and may be promoted/invited to perform with Mystical Hips once they have polished the choreographies taught in classes.

Pre-requisite:
Completion and graceful execution of the Beginner Level curriculum taught by Marjan or audition to demonstrate knowledge and beginner-level execution of the basics of Bellydancing (this is for students that have taken classes from other instructors)

Advanced Level & Mystical Hips Troupe Practice
Students in this class continue to get challenged with extended drills and combinations, as well as more challenging moves and layering. They also regularly perform throughout the community at fairs, festivals, birthdays, weddings, and cultural events.

Pre-requisite:
Completion and graceful execution of the Intermediate Level curriculum taught by Marjan or audition to demonstrate knowledge and execution of the class materials (this is for students that have taken classes from other instructors)

Tuesdays (Technique & Choreography)
6:30pm to 7:30pm

Pay Monthly: $10 per class

Per class: $12 each class
